Have you tried what they suggest at:
http://www.google.com/gmm/mylocation.html?hl=en

And out of curiosity, what are you tying to use it on?

Me, I plan to install Google Maps after I get the GPS working on my Mogul.

I happened to see google maps on someone else's Mogul today and when I
pressed the '0' it came up with a message saying it is not working yet.

I don't know what to tell you other than I saw it fail also. I hope they
get the GPS working for the Mogul pretty soon.

If you have the Mogul I have something you can try.

Start the "Phone" application then Menu->Options->Services

From Services "Get Settings" for "Location Setting"

If you have it turned OFF then turn it ON and see what happens with the "My
Location" feature on Google Maps.

If it is ON already let me know please.

TIA

I couldn't wait to find out if the above suggestion worked so I installed
Google Maps on my Mogul.

Even with that "ON" the "My Location" still did not work. I looked around
more and found the following site:
http://groups.google.com/group/google-mobile-help

But, even that site doesn't tell you much, other than more people have the
same issue.

I wish I could find post that where someone says it works and then list what
phone and service provider they are using.

Me, I just use a contract that has an address, just so I can have the map
display where I am instead of seeing San Fransisco all the time.

I assume we're talking about the new cellular triangulation feature in GMM
rather than GPS, right?

Works great with T-Mobile USA and my non-GPS enabled T-Mo MDA (HTC Wizard-
the GSM rough-equivalent of the pre-Mogul 6700.)

Try out the Navizon software at www.navizon.com. It's a program that uses
cell tower and WiFi AP locations to pinpoint your position. The software
isn't as polished as GMM (or the even better Windows Live Search) but you
can try (then buy) their "virtual GPS" software that allows Navizon to
output your location in GPS NMEA format so any other GPS app on the phone
(including GMM) will see the Navizon location data as if it were an
external GPS.
