Does anyone know if it is possible using SprintPCS to SMS Bahrain?

Sure ... if the receiving party is on BHR MOBILE PLUS or MTC VODAFONE
Bahrain ... should work straight away.

It is to a Batelco number. Bummer.

According to :

The operator "Batelco" calls their network "BHR Mobile Plus" (426-01);
if they can reach it, Sprint can reach it.
