And yet it has been posted since Friday and to date, no coverage by any
media outlet ("This is just step one, next I will be contacting every news
agency I can get ahold,").
So.... a post made to a Sprint-bashing bulletin board that contains some
interesting facts that were not addressed:
- The cancellation of service will occur on July 30th, fifteen days before
these soldiers return from a two- month tour at the Academy (his own
words). This means that they started their tour roughly around June 15th.
- This means that they started their roaming habits around June 15th.
- The letters that Sprint sent went out at the end of June, according to
all outlets reporting this story.
- Two weeks (15th of June until June 30th, giving the benefit of the doubt)
would not be enough time for Sprint to receive all roaming charges from
another carrier. In fact, it is not unusual for roaming charges to lag a
month on a bill. There was no possibility for this lag to occur.
- Even with no lag in billing, two weeks of roaming service would hardly
qualify as an abuse.
The poster is full of sh*t.
