Sprint or Nextel in Guadalajara, Mexico

Anyone familiar with SPRINT and/or NEXTEL coverage in
Guadalajara, Mexico?

Do all SPRINT CDMA phones or NEXTEL phones work if there is coverage?

Also anyone know of a cheaper cell phone service while in that area. $0.99 /
minute is steep.

just go into downtown Los Angeles it is the same thing
