Default Virgin Mobile - programming Kyocera 2255 phone

I was on Sprint for years with the old 300/$30 plan,
but my mins were only about 20 last month.
So - I opted to re-activate my son's old Virgin Mobile 2255 (Super) phone,
and transfer my current sprint cell number.

I called Virgin Mobile today... walked thru IVR hell to get to real person,
and then "Derek" took all my info (including SSN),
and walked me thru the re-programming
of my Qualcomm / Kyocera 2255 phone.

Now the problem....
It seems it can call out, get to voice mail, send SMS msgs,
but it will not receive phone calls,
and only gets SMS in some random time related way.

I think that the phone number data might be used on "outgoing calls",
and the Net ID number data used for "incoming calls".

For some reason,
Derek had me setup the NMSID to some different 708-123-xxxx number
708 is another local overaly area code,
rather than my 630-456-xxxx phone number.

But - when I go back to the NMSID screen entry,
my 630-456-xxxx phone number is there !

I'll call again tomorrow and see if we can figure anything out.

5. After a few seconds, the Service Options menu will appear.
Scroll down and select Basic NAM1 Info.
6. Select Phone Number.
7. You are now on the NAM1 Phone Number screen.
If any numbers appear on this screen,
delete them by pressing clr.
Enter the new 10-digit mobile phone number we gave you and press OK.
8. Press the clr key once to return to the Service Options menu and select Extra
NAM1
9. Scroll down and select NMSID.
10. If any numbers appear on this screen,
delete them by pressing the clr key.
Then enter your phone's 12-digit network ID (leave off any extra zeros at
the beginning).
11. When you are finished,
press OK (this takes you back to the Extra NAM1 screen).
Now press the red end key.
The phone will turn off and come back to life on its own.
