Default Will SPCS also dump CDMA in future?

From what Sprint has been doing in recent years, they don't know what they
were doing. They'll stick to the stupid proprietary Qualcomm.

CDMA is the best technology.

They don't have a choice if they stay CDMA. Qualcomm has a buttload of
patents on the technology. However, many of us believe that them staying
CDMA is not a problem.

It's too greedy and selfish, puts too much limits to phone manufacturers
especially foreign.

CDMA is also a horrible thing to customers. Damn, Sprint charges $35 for a
simple ESN swap. With GSM, changing a phone is as easy as a cake.

I have NEVER been charged for activation of a new phone on an existing
plan. They haven't even restarted my contract date (thank goodness!).

They do, unfortunately, restart the countdown on the phone rebate -- but
that rarely comes into play for me. I generally get
Sprint/Nextel-compatible phones for less via Amazon or eBay.

And as a San Diegan, it's hard for me to be down on CDMA. 8-)

Of course. I'm sure Qualcomm pays plenty in income tax, property tax on those
huge buildings, etc.
