Default advertisement poking fun at the AT&T takeover...

Virgin Mobile has an advert with a double
for that Catherine Zeta Jones double that
t-Mobile's been using...

thirty seconds. 50 megs:

http://www.dburstein.com/video/virgin-advert.mov

Saf for work, unless you're at AT&T or TM...

Ouch, Danny! 50 MB? for a 30-second clip? Over my 768 Kb/s DSL line,
even on an unimpaired connection, that's well over 10 minutes to download.
This evening it's been 20 minutes, and it's not done downloading yet!
.... for a 30-second clip? This had better be good ... :-) .

Next time try capturing in a more economical format, please. Thnx. -- tlvp

Try the following (about ten megs):

http://www.dburstein.com/video/virgin/

Thanks, Danny. Seeing the first 23 seconds worth of the first, after
waiting a good half-hour for that 75% to come in, is good enough for me,
so I'll dispense with this new opportunity. Anyway, what Virgin Mobile
offers looks like GBS's impression of what Hades must be like -- fun,
if you like a noisy, raucous, bumptious kind of fun, hell if you don't.
I'll pass :-) .

Cheers, -- tlvp

But you did catch, I hope, their (virgin's) zinger
about how AT&T ranks last in customer satisfaction...

I'll bet the ad is on YouTube or Vimeo or some other well-known service
where you can stream it.

Yup :-) ... along with the sober at&t suit nodding his head
in the affirmative. But that was around second # 7.

It streams already (or at least tries to) where it is -- it's just that
it cogs unless it's got a channel good for roughly 2 MB/s (that's 20 Mb/s),
or better, to get transmitted along :-) . (And my DSL is at 0.75 (!) Mb/s.)
