Default After unlocking, then what?

I am currently using T-Mobile on an unlocked RAZR, but have an LG
Incite CT810 locked to AT&T on delivery. I plan to unlock it to use
with my T-Mobile account.

After unlocking do I simply insert my T-Mobile SIM card and go on as
usual, or are there some additional settings I need to make on the new
phone before it can be used with T-Mobile? Thanks.

You'll probably have to manually enter the appropriate settings for data
and MMS if you want to use those services. I'm not certain, however- T-
Mo recently instituted something they call "Any APN" which means they'll
connect any phone with a valid SIM and plan to data regardless of what
APN is entered in its settings, so non-T-Mo phones will work without
requiring a call to tech support. I'm not sure if that also applies to
MMS settings though- I doubt it. A quick Google search should find the
data and MMS settings easily enough. My (non-T-Mo) phone has
"wap.voicestream.com" as the APN, but from the name you can guess that
one's pretty old. Newer phones use "epc.t-mobile.com", IIRC. I never
bothered putting the MMS settings in my phone since I don't use MMS.

I don't plan on using MMS or data, just WiFi on prepaid plan.

Thanks for your useful reply. Looks like I won't have to make any
changes for my nominal needs.

I have the same needs: T-Mobile prepaid with WIFI capability. Let us
know how it works out for you.

USPS tracking showed that my CT810 was delivered 4/08/11 but I never
received it. The post office claims no responsibility so I'm in the
process of contacting the seller to see if the package was insured.
I've read that PayPal sellers are ultimately responsible for package
delivery to the customer whether they insured it or not. Stay tuned.
