Cellphone buying advice: seeking phone plus iPod equivalent

Not looking for an iPhone, or anything that expensive, since I am a limited user of cellphones, but would like WiFi capability (even unlocking too for when I go to Europe where I have a German T-mobile pre-paid minutes account).

Is the LG Optimus T possibly the right unit for me? That's about the price for an iPod and a simple cellphone in one unit, so I don't mind the price. Cheaper is of course always better.

I would say that the iPod is much better than any android or blackberry phone. The iPod has a much better processor and better multi-touch. Sometimes on an android phone when playing a game, i.e gangstar west coast hustle, when you need to walk/run and maybe fire at the same time sometimes the virtual buttons stick because both your fingers are on the screen.
