Moving apps in Android phones

I've been trying to figure out how to move apps that installed in the
phone or its SD card to the 32 GB external SD card. When I drill down in
the Settings menu to manage apps or storage, I can only move apps
between the phone and the internal sd card, but not to the external one.
Anybody here figured this out yet?
