My friend Ashley texted me on Skype from his Nokia N900 Linux tablet-phone
while watching Warbirds Over Wanaka airshow on the South Island in New
Zealand, tonight. He said the texting was much better having a real
keyboard and we chatted for a long time during the show.
What a cool contact from the other side of the planet.....(c;]
Being full multitasking, Ash could run Skype, the camera app for stills and
video, Maemo Mapper to plot his position and Gizmo to chat with users on
other systems simultaneously.
We could have connected full voice with Skype, but data is really expensive
where the airshow was as he was roaming.....oops!
There are great airshow videos on the airshow webpages to watch.....
