I have narrowed it down to these two phones. I need an unlocked GSM, 3G
not important, WiFI very important, camera? I got a dozen of 'em. So,
these are the choices. This is for AT&T, but T-Mobile uses a similar
network.
I need:
Good Reception for fringe areas.
Good sound.
SMS
Good Web Browsing over WiFi
E-mail
A nice MP3 player.
I have a Palm 755p that I really like when it doesn't freeze (usually when
I REALLY need to do something quickly...), I don't want to run Windows
(can you run Linux on a Nokia?)
The only other contender is a Samsung Epix, some say they're great, some
say they're UGH, but they have a touch screen. Or perhaps a Palm Pro?
I got a headache! So, if you had to choose between one of the 4, which
would you get, and in what order? The Blackberry and the Nokia are running
neck and neck. Other Nokias I have had have been OK, never had a BB...

Both E63 and BB8820 have QVGA screens, I'm sure these are great devices
but don't expect a good browsing experience on a 320x240 screen. Even
your old treo offes better resolution.
If browsing is an issue, then get something with a big, high res screen:
iPhone, Samsung i9000, Moto Droid, HTC has some nice androids too...

I believe the HTC HD2 has the largest screen in the T-Mo lineup. It's
a WinMo phone which can run Android or be updated to WinMo7 (maybe?)
However, browsing is best done at home with the desktop and a 19" or
larger screen, no portable device other than the largest laptops can do
as well.
Personally, I'd prefer a 32" monitor! Or I could clean my glasses?

The only reason I don't do one of those is I am HARD on my phones! I'd
break one of those in no time flat.
I wound up getting a Nokia E61 on eBay. There are places I go where I
can't bring a camera, and the 61 doesn't have one. It has great sound on
calls, which is more important than anything else.

Got a 22" NEC CRT someone had sitting on the side of the road, with a sign
"$15" which was crossed out, then $5, which was crossed out and "FREE"
which is what it said when I ran across it! I prefer CRTs to LCDs right
now since I do photography. Great color.
