Default Samsung Galaxy S for T-Mobile

Samsung's doing something very interesting... apparently, phones based
on Europe's Galaxy S will be released for all of the Big Four US
carriers, all at once.

T-Mobile's version is called the Vibrant. You can buy it on the 21st,
according to http://galaxy-s.t-mobile.com/

Now, being a tinkerer, and this being an Android phone, I'm wondering if
I can create apps using the Android Developer toolkit on my laptop and
just upload them to the phone, rather than just buying apps through the
Android Market. I also wonder if the phone will support the file-
transfer and dialup Bluetooth profiles... my current Samsung phone does
not. (Don't want to dialup through it, it's not a 3G phone, but my
laptop has a Bluetooth adapter and it would be nice if I could transfer
files over BT between the laptop and phone.)
