Is there any place in the US where I can get a top up card for
TMobile.co.uk? I'd like to be able to use the phone as soon as we land
at the airport and not have to look around for a place to get one at
that point. I have the UK Sim card, just need to be able to add minutes
to it.

Yes, but it won't let you register a non-UK address

I thought so. I was never able to find a way to top up a
prepaid phone outside the UK until I got a UK bank
account and debit card. I don't think they have top up
"cards" (like T-Mobile USA) either, you instead go to a
store which has a machine and they print you a receipt
with the code on it.
Just about any variety store will have a machine, however,
and you should be able to top up the phone from ATM machines
too. Doing this at the airport as soon as you get there
shouldn't be a problem, even if that isn't quite what you
want.

Thanks, Dennis. I'm sure I'll find a store at Manchester airport where I
can get minutes. I'll just have to wait till I get there

T-Mobile UK has top up cards, try supermarket checkouts.
Looking at an unused one now, as linked card came
in box with phone.
Call 150 from phone and enter 13 digit card number, or
phone T-Mobile landline number.
Your E top-up card is ready to go.
Go to a PayPoint or supermarket doing pre-pay
top-ups, hand over cash, they swipe card, money
on phone usually before you leave the store.
Tesco can swipe at the checkout and you pay
with your groceries.
W H Smith at pretty well all British airports
and terminals have PayPoints.Think some
ATM's can do PayPoint transactions.

Different card. The card you're talking about identifies
your phone to the PayPoint machine so that when you buy
a top-up it is credited directly to your account without
you having to type a top-up code into your phone. What she
wants to buy is an actual top-up which, in the US (and many
other places), is often sold as a card with the code under
a scratch-off panel on the back. The US has no equivalent
to PayPoint.

As he has a UK SIM card he can top up with his phone as soon
as he lands and puts in his UK SIM card, using the top-up
facility of his phone, and any valid credit/debit card, a US
one will do. He is calling with a UK SIM and connected
to the UK network, as soon as he touches down.
I do a check balance and am offered a debit/credit card
top=up. Even when I am in Belgium and connected
AFAIR by MobiStar, who handle web browsing
and GPS Nokia Maps to give me a stret plan.
I think airport W H Smiths have free top-up cards by
the checkout, so get one there or at Tesco, Sainsbury,
many retail outlets have the freecards that you link via your
phone, using your phone or landline number with
the free card, then it is swipe and pay to top up.
