Default T-Mobile quick number for minutes remaining

Which is the quick number to call for minutes remaining on a prepaid
account?

*3279 gives the balance in Dollars.

#999# does give both Dollars and minutes. But in text.

I wanted to know what number, if any, gives minutes remaining in voice.

TIA

"611" does it for postpaid accounts so might
be worth a try.

#646# (#MIN#) gives you minutes of use on postpaid. You might try it
on your prepaid phone and see if it tells you what you need to know.

Entering #646# on a prepaid phone tells you to enter #999# instead, which
is the prepaid equivalent of #646#...

*8646 (*ToGo), but it's not "quick"- you have to slog through a bunch of
voice-prompt menus.

Key *3279 or *8646 when the service answers (after "por servicio en
Español pression el numeró 2") key 3, then 1. Balance will be given
first in number of "nationwide" minutes. If you wish to know the
dollar amount in the account then press 1..

You can also get balance and expiration by accessing T-Zones and
choose the my account link which will show the balance in minutes and
in dollars as well as the expiration date.

Using 611 to get prepaid account information through customer care
will only delay your call as you'll be transferred to prepaid customer
care where you'll have to enter your phone number (confirm) and do the
two key presses that you would have to do by calling the correct
number (*3279 or *8646 which reaches the same place. *3279 *EASY is
the old number for "Easy Speak" where *8646 *TOGO is the number for
the T-Mobile To Go service. Either of these two numbers are
specifically for the prepaid service. #999# is the short code for
prepaid balance. #646# does not work and only directs you to key
#999#.

I have found that the current activity page on T-Zones (on my
postpaid account) is often out of date (giving an older "As of"
time), but using Refresh in the browser will get new data most of
the time. Calls older than an hour or two but after the "As of"
date will show up, calls newer than that might show up. That figure
of "an hour or two" is my experience for how long it takes for
things to show up; it doesn't include any roaming, tries during the
middle of the night during maintenance, travel very far outside
where I live, etc.

As I recall, the "Bill Summary" page behaved the same way when I was
checking that my first bank-bill-pay payment arrived properly. Don't
believe what it says without refreshing the page if you're expecting
something to change.

postpaid answers do nothing for the OP. They were inquiring about
prepaid.
