Default Upgraded my Amaze 4G to ICS

The ICS upgrade finally showed up for my phone last night and went
pretty smoothly but now I am wondering what the big excitement was all
about ICS. I don't see any major changes as a result of the upgrade
except an even greater battery drain. Anybody else upgraded yet?

My phone came stock with froyo but I've tested some of the CM9 ICS early
work. Seems better organized, cleaner UI, and maybe clearer fonts. If
it becomes stable on my platform I will likely run it, but I don't think
it's any kind of miracle.

You probably got ICS with Sense 3.x which is what it's currently using
for a UI. The big change isn't ICS (which is simply an operating
system) but Sense 4.x which is the user interface.

Sense 4.x will be along in a few months, until then most of ICS's
changes are not visible.

Oh, I see. Thanks. Indeed, the UI looks pretty much after this ICS
upgrade as before.

There is info and reviews about Sense 4.x in various spots,

Google will find you more...

I have the One S with ICS and Sense 4. Nice. Very nice.

I mean, I liked Froyo (and Gingerbread) with whichever version of Sense
ships with the MT4G, but whoa....

Didn't you also buy a Sensation a while ago?
BTW, I just tried my Amaze with a Moto H700 BT headset that I used
before with my old Moto clamshell phone, and this time I find the volume
in the BT headset pretty much useless in a noisy car. It used to have
much better volume with my old Moto phone. I wonder what your experience
is with BT.

No, the One S replaces my MT4G which I owned for about 15 or 16 months.
I bought an LG Optimus for my son, too.

Oh yes, now I remember better because you reported its purchase here at
the time. I guess you still have some contract time left on it, no?
