Default Anyone else have a problem with LG VX3300 screwed up call logs fordialed and received calls?

I am having several problems with my cell phone. It's a LG VX3300 from
Verizon.

I got a LG VX3200 for free for renewing my contract in October 2004.
That phone lasted until the late summer of 2005, when I started to have
a lot of dropped calls and high minutes and bills.

The phone was replaced with a refurbed VX300 in October 2005 after a
little haggling with Customer Service, but alot of haggling over my bill.

That phone worked OK until December 2005 when the phone started dropping
calls alot and my bills in Dec2005-Feb2006 were outrageously high. The
phone was replaced with yet another VX3300 in February 2006, and it took
about 3 months of constant hassling with Customer and Financial Services
to get my bill reduced.

Now I wasn't trying to be a deadbeat - I was simply trying to figure out
which of my calls were dropped and then usually the person I was talking
to and I would try to call each other up and I ended up with double
minute usage - which got to be expensive. While dealing with the
hassles of the Dec2005-Feb2006 bills, the phone I got in February 2006
died in April 2006 - and I got that one replaced with my fourth LG
phone. I am not sure it's the phone - could it be that the CDMA
technology isn't as sturdy or durable as the GSM technology? A friend
has a GSM VX3200 with Alltel and it is over 2 years old and I have used
mine and his side by side and notice that the Alltel phone has more bars
of signal and doesn't drop calls.

The problem is that I can't be sure when I have hung up on a 3-way call.
There is a little phone icon in the upper left hand of the screen when
I am off hook, and when I am in the default screen (as happens when I
flip the phone open before making a call) there is no phone icon on this
screen. Often I hit "end" enough times to go to the default screen, and
I only get a call-waiting call back when the phone is closed up. So
when I think I am hanging up on a call, and then make another call to
someone else, the damn phone keeps me on line with the original call
until I end the last call and then fold up the phone. This usually
happens alot when the phone starts to drop calls like crazy.

The phone does log in dialed calls and received calls, as well as missed
calls. It has room for 30 calls in each category. In theory, the log
should add each new call as "call 1" and move each existing call on the
log one call back so that call 29 becomes call 30 and the former call 30
gets dropped.

In practice, it is not handled like that for received and dialed calls.
If all your dialed and recieved calls come from a different number,
they are handled in the manner previously described. But if you get a
call from or make a call to the same number more than once, the log for
dailed and received calls drops all but the latest call for that number.
It does not add them to the list and drop the 30th call when it
becomes call 31.

So if someone from 919-555-1212 calls me and the call is dropped, and we
call each other back and forth several times to get connected, only the
last call made to and received from that number is logged in. Which
makes it impossible to keep up with minutes used unless you log in each
call as soon as it is made - damn near impossible to do in practice.

The phone does log in each and every missed call. If I get 20 missed
calls a day and 10 are from the same number, all 10 show up in the
correct order and also show the time the call came in. The only calls
that get dropped from this log are the 30th calls in the log when a new
call comes in.
