Default Audiovox CDM-9000 and E911

Does anyone know if the Audiovox CDM-9000 is E911 compliant? I checked with
Audiovox but they no longer offer cell phone support, and the company who
took that over for them hasn't gotten back to me. I have since replaced the
CDM-9000, for my Verizon account, but would like to keep it as a backup if
it's E911 complaint (which is now required). Verizon themselves can't tell
me even they originally sold me the phone. TIA

I figured as much, I just didn't want to part with it if there was a chance
it could be used as a backup. I got the phone just around the time E911 was
introduced by Verizon Wireless so there was a chance of it being complaint.
Audiovox has since left the cellular business so they no longer
support any phones AFIK. But I did finally hear back from UTStarcom - the
company who took over for them, and it isn't compliant, unfortunately.
Thanks just the same.

Tim,

Don't toss it!

Activate it on Page Plus as a prepaid "backup".

I had a few 9000s----great phone, bulletproof and unreal battery life.

Hate to see them go into the "big bin in the sky".
