Audiovox XV6700 and Exchange Sp2 activesync?

We have several Treo's and Q's which use Exchange Sp2 wireless activesync
but we have a new guy with an AudioVox XV6700 who is getting an error code.

Since all our other non-Audiovox devices are working fine I'm reluctant to
think it's a problem on my server, even though I see Microsoft released a
new hotfix with this very code. I'll apply the hotfix but I'm not holding my
breath.

Any other ideas?

My admin is on the other phone with MS right now trying to find out if this
hotfix should be applied to the front end or backend exchange server.
