Default Backupassistant

I have not been able to get into verizonwireless backupassistant for the
last two days. Is it down, or do I have a problem with my PC. Sometimes I
get as far as the logon, but it will not accept my ID/Password combination.
This happened a week or so ago, and I thought it was fixed. Charles

Me neither from my phone. This has happened before and was eventually
sorted out at their end.

Mine is working now. Verizon changed the password to one I had given
them on the phone. I believe the problem has something to do with 4
digit passwords a/k/a PIN numbers.

They changed the login/password procedures-- but neglected to tell us they
did.....just access it from within My Account once you're logged it.

I have tried every way I could think of to get into backupassistant without
success. I would appreciate it if you would send me the details such as what
you used to initially logon to verizonwireless, enter your ID & password,
and what option to chose to transfer to backupassistant. I tried to find "My
Account" pulldown, but it was not there. What am I missing? Charles

Here's what worked for me:

Login to your VZW account using your regular login and PW. From the My
Verizon drop down list, select My Contacts. Then click on Sign In....and
that takes me to my BA list without anything further. If that doesn't work
for you, better call Customer No Service....

Not a problem getting into BA on the Web but getting BA to run from my
VX8300 is another story. Four days now that BA has failed to run from
my phone. Sigh.

J.H. Holiday,
I finally got your procedure to work by going into my security settings, and
adding a Trusted Site with the following information:
"https://backupassistant.vzw.com". Before I added this trusted site, I would
get an error saying it cannot find the server when trying to access
https://backupassistant.vzw.com. I am running windows XP Home Edition w/SP3
and IE v6.0.
Thanks for your suggestion. Charles Ranheim

I think that is because the certificate comes up as "expired"
