Boosting signal in mountain cabin

My in-laws have a cabin in the mountains near Panguitch Lake, Utah. The
Verizon signal is very week outside the cabin and non-existent inside
the cabin. Is it possible to add a wireless signal booster that would
take the signals from any Verizon phone in the cabin, boost it, then
transmit it using an outside antenna? If possible, can you recommend a
company to buy from?

Yup... Been there, done that, out in the sticks in northern idaho... got a
whole house repeater (about $399) from these guys
(http://www.cellantenna.com/repeater/...g_repeater.htm ) and aimed the
yagi (directional antenna) at the cell tower about 18 miles away... Worked
so good the neighbors used to park in my driveway just to use the spillover
signal...

Wilson Electronics makes equipment that works very well.
