Default chocolate mp3 support

I have a bunch of MP3s on my micro-SD card that I used with my
Motorola phone. My kid just got a Verizon Chocolate and when I gave
him the SD card, it sees that memory on the card is used BUT doesn't
list any MP3 files. What's the problem????? Something Verizon
disabled again???

Thanks
MArk

The folder layout that moto and lg use is different. ( don't know
exactly what the folder names are across the two phones) Your best bet
is to get another sd card and format it for the choc, then copy the
mp3's onto it from the other card using a card reader and another
computer.

Contrary to what one of the other replies says, it has nothing to do with
anything on the phone being disabled. The other reply is in fact the
correct one...the Chocolate expects a different file tree from what the
Motorola created.

These are the four directories on the SD card in my Chocolate, along with
what goes in them:

my_flix (for video)
my_music (for music)
my_pix (for still pictures)
my_sounds (for ringtones and such)

Put the card in your PC, make a directory at the top of the tree named
"my_music", move the mp3 files to that directory, put the SD card in the
phone, and you should be good to go.
