Chocolate phone and bluetooth headsets

Does anyone know of a way to get the music to come thru a regular
bluetooth headset?? Verizon tells that it will only work with a stereo
headset which kind of defeats my purpose of wanting to listen to music
while still being able to hear what is going on around me at work.

I have the VX 8600 and I dont know of a way to do that, headphones for
music, bt earbud for phone as far as I been able to find out.
