Okay, I read the class action thing on-line, I have the voucher(s) and I am
entitled to compensation of an ear-bud or up to $30 credit if I extend my
contract for two years.
However, I can't tell by reading all this gobbledygook what exactly VZW was
accused of (they admit no wrongdoing). Everything was so "high level" (i.e.
misrepresentation, etc., with no details).
What are they accused of doing, in plain English? Anyone know? Examples?

Heh, I just extended my contract for 2yrs. yesterday.
Does that mean I can extend it for another day and get
$30?

Yes, I would think so.
My current 2/yr expires in Mar 07, but I was planning on renewing in Jan
when I'm elegible for NE2. This voucher is good till April '07.

As I read it, Verizon was changing the terms of the agreement and offering to
let people out of their cobtract if they didn't like the new terms. When people
took them up on the release Verizon would charge them early termination.

You don't have to extend your contract to take advantage of this Class
Action Settlement. You have options 3 thru 6 which offer a refund over
several months or a 25% discount on an accessory or 250 texts messages or a
120 minute calling card.

I know. As I said, I have the voucher in front of me. I didn't list every
option. I only listed the ones I felt were most significant to me.

Wonderful. I guess I should say thanks to Larry for paying
his $175 ETF (even though VZW has "never FORCED anyone
to pay it"). -

Any special reason you posted info from the same link I did?
Who cares.. extend for another 2 years for $30?? makes no sense to me. You
should be able to get more than that for another two years without the law
suit

Actually you can get much more than that. You'd get the $30 off, plus you
would get a discounted phone due to the 2yr contract, plus you (I) would get
the NE2 $100 credit. All these are independent discounts/credits that can be
used together.

You said you wanted to hear about it in plain, simple english. It
doesn't get more plain, simple english-y than that.
