Default Dell XPS 1710 and Verizon Wireless Cards

I need some help. I recently purchased a Dell XPS 1710 and failed to
notice that it didnt come with a PCI slot for my Verizon card. Does
anyone know how this can be overcome or have a remedy?

Ya, I got screwed on this one too with my new Inspiron 6400. I had to buy
one of these USB converters:
http://www.elandigitalsystems.com/usb/u132.php

from http://store.mp3car.com

They are not cheap... $189.00.

Forgot to mention your other option is to buy a Novatel V640 that fits the
new ExpressCard slot. I have been watching www.evdoinfo.com for
information. Currently it seems EVDOinfo is only selling them bundled with
1 and 2 year service plans, but they say call Verizon to buy it without
service. I'm afraid to find out what the price will be...

There are plenty of card readers, including some with multiple and
varied slots, that connect to computers through their USB ports. They
are not expensive.

Common problem - either get the Novatel or the Dell ExpressCard.
