Duplicate Text Messages

Recently changed phones on our Verizon 3 line family plan.

Ever since then, I am getting *DUPLICATE* text messages when sending or
receiving on the new phone.

This is eating into the out of network text message allowance.

$163 of overage in text message on this months statement.

Has anyone else heard of this? What is the fix?
