You know it may be BS to YOU but not to me. I have seen and HEARD the
issues. I tried THREE different Mot BT sets and ALL 3 were crap. The very
same model works flawlessly on my GSM Razr. My bro uses ONLY CDMA and ONLY
Mot phones. along with ONLY Mot BT sets (and because of employment issues he
ONLY uses MOt equipt. I can tell you that EVERY BT and phone combo he uses
sounds like total shit. By contrast when I use my Plantronics HS on any of
my E815's it sounds fine. I hate it but it sounds fine. I also used a Jabra
set on my phone and it too sounded perfect. I should also add the bro has
ONLY the latest and greatest mot devices too. Yet I walk in store and get
the H700 pair it up to the GSM Razr and voila NO ISSUES sounds great. So YOU
tell ME why this obvious issue is BS. I concur it is not. Look at the line
of phones they have for GSM compared to CDMA. Except for the Q there are far
and away more. Why? Because for the most part GSM is a bigger target it's a
broader standard because it's pretty much a worldwide standard.
CDMA and in particular VZW's insistence on f^&king up the BT interface for
theiir own profit (damn the customer attitude) most likely contributes to
it. I was told this by 2 seperate technicians btw not 1. I have observed the
issue and non-issue first hand. I have no desire or need to call moto on
this. I bought a Plantronics 510 and sound wise it's perfect. I hate the
thing as it's functions do not work well with my phones but at least voice
is near perfect. So how CAN it be false?!
You can go off on the 815 all you want. This performance (lack of) existed
on all 3 of my 815's, it exists on my bro's razr, krazr and whatever else is
the latest and greatest (he gets them free) and every BT device he uses
sounds like shit so bad you cannot understand him. Absolutely no way to
carry on conversation when he uses them. So I will use the Plantronics until
I dump VZW (for reasons other than the BT issue) and switch to a GSM carrier
most likely AT&T/Cingular.
If you have enough time on your hands go ahead and try your experiment
yourself. Me I don't give a $hit anymore.
