Has one of the best receivers I could find at the time.
Few phones have as good receivers even nowadays when gaming, mp3, cameras
and other stuff is given higher design priority over making good voice
calls.
LG 4650 I found out is for the most part just as good so I traded mine in
after 2 weeks worth of testing 'bout a year ago but before then, I could be
talking on my Startac when others could not get any signal or hold a call.
Startac earpiece/speaker was bigger as well for high noise areas.
Dropped many times without any damage so very durable.
For the time, a very good phone. Can't see keeping 'em any longer though,
citing supportability issues, lack of A-GPS for E911, better power and other
communication with the cell towers ( via newer software code advancements ),
etc.
