Only if you can find one cheap. Windows Phone 8 will be released by year
end, and WP7 units can't be upgraded. (WP8 will offer a tighter
enterprise-level encryption/security model in hardware that WP7 handsets
can't handle.)
WP8 will be backwards compatible, so all 7 apps will run on 8, but apps
designed expressly for 8 won't run on 7.
Because of this, I expect prices of used 7 handsets to drop when 8 is
released, so I'll probably grab another one or two then for the kids to
use as combo pre-paid phones/media players, or hand my current WP7 Titan
down if I opt for an 8. What I really want is for Nokia to release a WP8
version of their 41MP Pureview camera phone.
