Default HELP!!! I can't get out of my contract!

I called Verizon, because I heard they were increasing the price for
incoming international txt messages from 10cents to 15cents. They said
that they sent a notification out and that I only had 60 days to
respond. There has to be a loophole to fix my problem! Any suggestions
would be appreciated!!!!!
HELP!!!!

Use your time machine to go back and READ the stuff in your bill then call
to cancel.
What's that? You don't have a time machine? Then cancel text messaging on
your phone.

How many incoming international TXT messages do you get in a month? At
an additional .05 each, is it really going amount to anything?

You guys are assuming he gives a rat's hindquarters about the price of
texting. I'm guessing that he's just bummed he missed a rare opportunity
to get out of his contract without an EFT.

That's why it's called a contract. You signed it, you're stuck with
it.

HaHa...I have to say you guys have been no help! This guy is
absolutely right as to why I want to get out of my contract!
Oh well....I appreciate the time you spent making me laugh with your
sarcasm (especially the back in time thing!) Thanks anyway!

In all fairness to those who responded to you, it's hard to help when
there are no means to do so. This issue was discussed here quite a
bit when the announcement was made. Did you even see the bill insert?
Or do you even open your bills? I don't mean that in a condescending
way, I just know quite a few people who still get paper billings, but
never them open the because they check and pay their accounts online.

I'll bet if you show them your past 5 or 10 bills with a whole bunch of
international text messages on them VZW will be more likely to go along.

If you don't use ITM, you have nothing to show for being "materially
affected" by this change. Therefore I can't see any reason for them to let
you out. I don't actually (this time) find their stance unreasonable.

If they doubled the price of calls to Pakistan, and my records show I've
never called Pakistan once in the 15 years I've dealt with them, I EXPECT to
get laughed at when I call up crying "materially affected!!"

Unfortunately, when trying to be helpful, people post info about these
changes, some of us get all excited, thinking it's a free pass to get out of
the contract. Not.

I always sign a one-year contract. When you do that, you generally don't
have much to lose UNLESS you happen to move to an area where Verizon doesn't
work.....and in that case, I've heard of exceptions being made.
