Yes, it should.

No, start a PagePlus account first. Ask them to port your existing
number from VZW. If you close the VZW account before porting, you can
lose your existing number.

Exactly how did you get to the screen asking you that? I wasn't asked
for anything VZW-specific when I signed up for my account.. Are you
setting up a new account, or requesting a port? You doing that at http://www.pagepluscellular.com, right?

I'm going to guess this is a security code that you need to set up
with VZW to do the port. I didn't port my old Alltel number when I
switched, so I can't really help you with that. I suggest you call PP
customer service at (800) 550-2436 and have them walk you through that
process. And you'll probably want to set up an account at some point,
if for no other reason than to get your balance and call detail info
online.

thank you. i called and got set up. dont guess i had a passcode.
I have a Verizon phone with no encumbrances. I opened an account at
PagePlus, and paid $10 for the setup. Nothing happened. I called in, and
after a half-hour wait got confirmation that the transaction was okay.
The CSR took the ESN and gave me a phone number.
After a day it still doesn't work. If I call OUT from that phone, I get
intercepted by Verizon. If I call IN to that phone from another one, I
get the beep-beep-beep of an invalid number.
And, of course, if I call PagePlus I get put on hold - - forever.
