Default How often to PRL?

I don't do a whole lot of roaming. I'm in SoCal and was just wondering if I
have to update the PRL more than once a year or so.

PRLs need to be updated at least every 1-2 months.

Assuming I don't want to bother actually finding out when that is, what
would be a good maintenance schedule.. 6 mo?

I update about once per month.
