Here is a quick and easy way to transfer tones and pix. Go to
www.vzwpix.com and register an account for the target cell phone. Then,
from a web-based email account (hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc; outlook
express has problems it is reported) compose a text message to
10digitTargetCellNumber@vzw.com and attach a ringtone (previously
renamed ringtone.mp3 => ringtone.mid) to the message. Be sure to
include a subject and at least one word in the message itself ("tone"),
then send to message.
You will eventually receive the text message on the target phone.
Listen to the ringtone.mid file and then save it to the phone as a ringtone.
This will cost you $0.25 for the message.
