Default LG VX-10000 Voyager, Internal Antenna

Does anybody know where the internal antenna is located on this phone
(which side/end)? Most phones with internal antennas recommend that
you do not place your hand over the internal antenna while making a
call for best reception performance, except I don't know which area to
avoid? Any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe I will find out next week when I get mine in the mail and it
might have the sticker on it that says "don't touch here, internal
antenna," but I think only Samsung still uses that warning?

Just got the phone last week and even with the manual it took a few minutes
to locate that hidden rascal. No markings on the case at all and now that I
know where it is I have no problems locating it anymore. It is on the back
of the phone and is quite hidden, flip out the rubber covering and the tip
is exposed, simply pull it out and you have a nice chrome slender rod to
play with. Hope that helped!!!!

I believe that's the "TV" antenna for the VCast video service- not the
cellular antenna. IIRC, the cell antenna is completely internal.

Yes, that would be the TV antenna, not the cellular antenna. I suppose
the latter is of minimal concern, but I will keep you updated if I
find it!

Got my voyager yesterday. By my own estimation using the signal
strength indicator and placing my hand over different areas of the
phone, the internal antenna is definitely in the top rear of the phone
(area above the camera lens). Not placing your hand here can be the
difference between a low signal and a dropped call, so I would
recommend cupping/holding the phone from the bottom when in use,
rather than from the top.
