Default Locked Phone

I am sorry if this has already been asked. I have a verizon V3M. how do I
unlock it? I ask verizon and got a "deer caught in the headlights" look.

Thanks and God bless

Ernest

CDMA phones are not locked. The carrier will only activate phones
whose Electronic Serial Number is in its database.

Probably got that look since the phone isn't locked, so why would anyone
know how to "unlock" something that isn't locked in the first place?

I think the problem is defining locked and "locked". Verizon
phones are not locked but they are "locked", see the difference?

As long as people keep thinking a phone that needs a modified seem
to download/upload stuff is "locked" we're going to continue to have
mis-communications. We need a FAQ or something to explain the
difference between what locked means and what some people think it
means.

Until then, I just ***-U-me anyone who asks about a locked Verizon
phone needs to be directed to Howard Forums.

Ernest,

Can't believe I'm asking this, but do you mean the "phone lock" is on, and
you don't know the unlock code, or do you mean the phone is "locked" to
Verizon?
