"Was my wife's account scammed" RESOLVED!

The best I could do with Verizon billing was a refund of 3 out of the
11 months. I suppose they couldn't see the actual transaction that
took place at the store. Of course they didn't suggest i take it up
with the store. Useless! I then called the store where, apparently,
the charges were added. Today the store called me back to offer 6
months
( out of 11) of a refund. I said it was unacceptable. They had the
paperwork there to know I was illegally "crammed". Why should I have
to negotiate fraud. A hour later they agreed to refund all 11 months.
If you think about it, not only should they refund all the charges,
but pay me for the time and aggravation, then go to jail for fraud.

Congratulations! Did your saying the word "crammed" or "cramming" make

I couldn't think of the word at the time (on the phone). I used the
word fraud though....

I know that is right. I had just about the same problem once.

I've found that a summons to appear in Small Claims Court does wonders
for a merchants' ethical conscience.
