Doesn't do much for most people, though I do know some Verizon users
that use a lot of minutes but no data. With the Talk 'N Text 1200, 300MB
of data would cost $50/month, and you're only paying for the data over
100MB that you actually use.
There are those that use GB of data because they're streaming audio and
video or downloading or uploading large image files, and there are those
that are using very little data because they only use data for e-mail
and occasional web browsing and only when no Wi-FI is available (which
is becoming rarer and rarer).

I think it's strange that the $45 plan doesn't come with 100MB rather
than 20MB. $55 is getting up there in terms of monthly cost. If you can
live with the abysmal coverage of Virgin Mobile, or are willing to spend
some bucks to put an Android phone or iPhone on StraightTalk, you can
get unlimited data for less.

I don't need it! This is ME you're talking to, remember?
And, I can't live with the abysmal coverage of *AT&T* here!!!!!! That's
why I use PP. But, I DID hit "Roaming" a couple times today, in Cow
Hampshire.

Indeed, one of the major advantages of Pageplus is not just the
relatively low rates, it's that it's one of the few prepaid carriers
that allows roaming, albeit at extra cost. Can't roam on Virgin, can't
roam on Boost, and roaming on T-Mobile has been getting worse (though
whether or not the acquisition by AT&T goes through the roaming is
supposed to improve).
I have a friend that's an Android developer and she got a free pass to a
Sprint developers conference where she gets a free Nexus S™ 4G with a
whopping one month of Sprint service. Then what? Sprint is okay on 3G in
urban parts of the Bay Area, but has little coverage outside the Bay
Area. The phone isn't usable on Verizon or Pageplus. The WiMax is
useless outside of Sprint native areas.
I suggested that she see if she could get it activated on Boost's
unpromoted CDMA plan for $50/month, since some users have had success
doing this. But this still means no roaming so coverage will be awful.
So she's just going to use the phone as a development platform with Wi-Fi.

I haven't been going to NH taht much, so roaming isn't much of an issue. I
tried them all...t-Mobile, Boost, etc. I never tried to get my Palm on
Boost, though. I stayed with Verizon for the meantime until I found
PagePlus.
BTW, boost had NO COVERAGE AT ALL in Keene NH, and at that time I was
going there quite a bit.

I know this is an old thread, but Page Plus has upped the data on that
plan to 500MB.
