I know this was SPAM, but these folks have a $99 computer that is
exactly what I am looking for for a trip to Europe. I need something
small, light with WiFi and a word processing capability.

The problem is that I can find no info on this company. I Googled them,
but found no place that rated them or talked of buying from them.

Can anyone help me? I don't want to send money to Hong Kong and not get
what I paid for.

It looks like a stripped down clone of the Asus EEEPC 2G , which sells here
for $300

That's why I thought it would be nice to have. I've been watching the
Asus one. There is a new model due later this month that I'm waiting to
see reviews of.

I was really interested in any info about the company offering the computer.

No, they don't. They have a PICTURE of an ASUS EEEPC that they call
"their" $99 computer. Like Truman's "good 5-cent cigar," the $99 laptop is
a fantasy, at least so far.

Funny, I couldn't find any info on the web about the deposed Nigerian
prince that needs me to help him hide his millions, and the European
Lottery I won doesn't return my calls... ;-)

If it makes you feel better, the pictures of their "smartphones" they pimp
here are coincidentally pictures of other brands of smartphones costing
much more. IMO, the Nigerian Princes that keep e-mailing you have a better
chance of being legitimate than this "Jointech" outfit...

Save your $99... The EEE is ~$300 and does a snazzy job of handling basic
computing tasks. I've had mine a few months- it's a fun toy that makes a
nice bridge between a PDA and a "real" PC.

Then buy an ASUS Eee PC, or better yet, for almost the same money, buy a
low-end Dell or HP laptop.
