Pageplus Drops Power Texting Plans

My son uses very few minutes but he was using a lot of texts, so I
thought I'd take him off "The 12" (where his text balance goes to zero
pretty fast) and put him on the PowerText 2000 for $10.95/month, and
just pay the 4¢/minute for the 80 or so minutes a month he uses.

Alas, Pageplus has dropped their texting plans, they are no longer on
their web site, and dealers that still have codes can sell them, and you
can still get on the Power Text plans for as long as those codes last.

The good thing is that once you're on one of these plans you can keep it
for as long as you want and use refills). So I got a PIN from
CallingMart (5% discount right now with "Fall125"), and put him on it.

Why not just go with the Unlimited Plan, or the 1200? The 1200 has gone to
THREE THOUSAND texts! Don't tell me the Dear Boy does more than that!!!

Of course, kids text far more than they talk anyway.

$30/month is too much and gives him way too many minutes. He uses very
few talk minutes. Glad I got the Power Text from CallingMart when I did,
as now it's gone. Even "The 12" is too many minutes, but not enough texts.

I went back on "The 12" as my text usage has gone up thanks to my kids
texting me more. 200 4¢ minutes and 70 5¢ texts per month would be $12
per month on pay as you go, with the 50¢ monthly fee included, and with
"The 12" I also get 10MB of data, which is way more data than I need
each month, but better than paying 99¢/MB.
