Default Problem w/Navman Bt GPS

I cannot connect my Verizon XV6700 to my bluetooth Navman GPS 4400.

I followed steps as described in http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/...07/620387.aspx

I was able to see NAVMAN GPS ONE listed as a device in WM5 Bluetooth
settings, and able to configure it as COM4. But the NAVEMAN GPS blue
light never changed from 2 flashes to single flash (indicating
connection to the XV6700), and after about 10 min, it turned itself
off.

I have tried my friend's Garmin GPS 10 with the same result that that
GPS 10 showed on XV6700 as a bluetooth device, but GPS 10 did not know
it has been connected and turned itself off after few min.

What am I doing wrong? Help!

Robin Hou

You are just not going far enough. It is not enough to hook the GPS to
the PDA. You must also hook the navigation or GPS program to the Com
port and start the GPS service. Only then will the bluetooth light speed
up indicating that the GPS is in use. You are almost there. Run the
program and select the GPS.
