Default Re: Asurion insurance/verizon insurance

If you call Asurion, they will tell you about the insurance. For their
TEP, it costs usually $7 a month. Covers lost, stolen, water or
physically damaged phones with a reasonable deductable, ie: $50. If
your phone problem is electrical or mechanical, no damages, then the
stores can repair or replace at no charge. Asurion can put coverages on
a phone up to 30 days after the origional activation as long as it has
not already been lost or damaged. The different phone companies have
different rules I am told. So, call Asurion and ask for the department
that handles your providers phone and ask. I did and they were polite.
But, remember it is like car insurance, if your phone is cheap and you
can replace it cheaper than insurance and the deductable, don't buy the
insurance. And like car insurance, it can take time to get your phone.
If your life or your business depends on your phone, only an idiot
would rely on only one phone.

Geez, the way the sales wienie talked, you just brought the shit-covered
phone from the toilet to the store and they gave you a new one and Asurion
paid 100%, instantly!

Did they lie to us??

I did pull a trick on a snotty little geek asshole at the service counter
when he snatched the phone out of my hand without listening to what was
wrong with it. I called after him as he headed away into inner sanctum we
weren't allowed to see into, "Be sure you wash your hands after handling
that phone! The toilet it fell into was LOADED!" I thought the little old
lady in line behind me was going to lay an egg she was laughing so hard....
