They give me promotional stuff all the time, and are wanting me to
renew my contract which expires in July. I've been a customer for 6
years and probably will continue on being one in the future, though
PagePlus does look pretty darn good these days!

But VZW just gave me a free 100 minute coupon for being a "loyal
customer". So of course I used it!

Yeah, a crappy phone on a crappy carrier? Have fun! Left Stinkular
(now Ma Bell Mobility) long time ago. Blech!

I find those types of things rather disingenuous. I have received such
credits because of my "loyalty" and since I always go under my plan
minutes (obviously they know this) of what real value is such a credit
or coupon?

Nope. I made 100% sure of that!!

I could have gotten the 100 minutes per month for the "life of the
contract", but I didn't want to do that!

Trust me - this is a "one time" deal. I'm just going to let my
contract expire and see what happens...

Exactly. I just posted a similar note. You can see that the independent
marketers they use for these programs are not looking at your personal usage
and are not tailoring the 'incentive' to meet your needs.
