My Dad lived in Livermore one mile from a Verizon store and a major freeway.
His LG could barely make or receive calls at home. Every time he went to the
store, it worked great. I went up to visit him and my E815 worked perfectly
in his place. So did my wife's cheapo Nokia on Sprint.

Yes, it is the network, but it is also the phone itself. Anyone who thinks
the phone is no part of the equation is foolish.
