So, each smart phone is $40 per month, then 4GB of data is another 70
so a two smart phone family is going to be paying 150 before taxes?
Another $10 per tablet

1GB of data is $50


Using my existing family plan, that
Smartphone - $40
dumb phone - $30
Data unlm - $30
texting - $10
============ $110
plus taxes minus discounts

You can't have a data only plan for a smartphone, of course

Looks like instead of the 9.99 per extra line, now it's $30 for
each dummb phone.

This looks like a colossal price increase to me, across the board.

Yes, $30 as compared to $9.99 for a dumb phone on a family plan is
ridiculous. I'll switch my wife's rarely used phone to prepaid before I
pay Verizon $30 a month. Will have to check pricing on the rest of it to
see if I should go prepaid for eveything, but I have a year to decide.

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question so if not can someone point me in the right direction?

When I look at the data usage on my bill I see a lot of 15-30 KB data usage packets. Could this be automatic updates running in the background of my phone? I can see when I use a lot of data and that makes sense but I can't explain these pesky little KP packets that occur a lot. Anyone know whats going on?
