"Hello, this is Dickie. I'm such a retard I lost my cellphone."

Buy a replacement on Ebay or Craigslist-- unless you like to pay full
retail for stuff...

It happens. I saw a cell sitting in the middle of the road. I was trying
to retrieve it, and the first driver saw it and avoided it. So did the
second driver. The guy in the truck behind her saw it too...and flattened
it...prick...

I found one in the road while bicycling. Had to charge it up then call a
number in the phone and ask if the guy knew who owned the phone and he
did, and he called him and gave the owner my number.

Look in the phone directory for "Verizon Wireless". Make a note of the
number. Dial it. This DOES require that you have either a wired
telephone or another cell phone.

You can accomplish the same task by going to the nearest VZW store.

If you FIND a VZW phone, take it to the VZW store. They will notify the
owner and return it when the owner shows up and identifies himself.
Been there, done that, when my wife lost her phone at a flea market.

She is a LOT more careful now!

Haven't you ever seen "spam" before? The world is full of them. As
soon as you filter one out, another one appears.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATEVER, buy anything from them.

You are just as bad as the original poster and the 1 you replied to. You
both are still posting the spam address. The correct way to handle spam is
to filter the spammer and never reply to a spam addtress. The same works
better on those that come here with wise cracks about this group. NEVER
reply to them and filter them and after a couple of post with no answer they
go away.

I think some of you come here just to be a patsy to these people!!

If calling your number gets you nowhere, I move fast and put an old
spare phone into service over the web.

Yes, someone got my phone - but they can't use it on my account. I did
this once and VZ never even knew I'd lost it. My concern is being
without service while they straighten out their records. I can change
the phone over the web in 10 minutes at the most.
