My son has the SCH-A930 phone and it's not usable anymore since the charger
no longer reliably connects (and charges) the phone. When the charger plug
is in the phone it is very lose - it snaps in but it can easily be wiggled
to the left/right/up/down. No matter how I hold the plug into the phone I
cannot get the phone to recognize it and apply any power.
It is very hard to see inside the charger plug but it looks like only 4 wire
pins are showing/available which I think is wrong as there probably should
be more?
Looking straight into the plug it looks like there are 2 on the far right
very close to one another, and two in the middle, not as close to one
another. That's it - none to the left which I find odd.
Looking into the bottom of the phone it looks like there are anywhere from
12 - 14 protruding pins.
Either the charger plug has been damaged (most likely?) and is missing some
pins/contacts and/or the phone receptacle may also be damaged and/or missing
some pins/contacts.
Anyone know the number of contacts in the charger plug and how many of them
contact those inside the bottom of the phone? Anyone have a charger and can
look for me please?
I do not have any other charger, wall or car, to try on the phone.
Thanks.
