Default AT&T forbids streaming audio or video, VOIP (or other apps that usedata) on their 4G LTE phones.

"Data sessions may be conducted only for the following purposes: (i)
Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) intranet access."

Amusingly enough, a Sprint ad opening up in the upper RH quadrant
of the msnbc page bearing this article shouts, in 16px or larger italics,

Now, truly Unlimited data for your iPhone*

with a 6px footnote:

Restrictions apply

That's what I get for blocking ads by modifying my Windows Hosts file. I
don't see any of the ads embedded on web sites. I just see the word
"advertisement" but no actual advertisement.

I use a nice rich HOSTS file, myself, but its effectiveness is a function
of how often -- and from what source -- you keep it maintained. Mine may
not be quite up-top-date with the latest msnbc ad feeder domains.

Assuming you don't want to stream too much or use online backup or anything
that uses much data.

Lots of things in life were "never designed" for how they're actually
used. Such is life.

And that's because they don't have the network of copper/fiber optic
cable that developed countries have, and which were developed before
there was any wireless. This system is still far more robust than
cellular.

30-40 years ago when I was travelling in (Northern) Europe people were
envious of how fast you could get a new phone installed here compared to
their wait-times.

Then they couldn't understand why we (the courts, anyway) broke up what was
then the envy of many as far as phone systems went.

And now the people that I know from Sweden come here for a visit are amazed
at how far behind the U.S. cell phone system seems to be compared to what
they have at home. Also, they can't believe that I can't get wired
high-speed internet access where I live here in the U.S. They tell me that
virtually their whole country is wired for broadband.

My, how things have changed in 30 - 40 years.

The U.S. has stopped investing in infrastructure. Taxes are the lowest
they've been in 50 years. The majority of Americans apparently are fine
with having the U.S. turn into a third world country in terms of
transportation, communications, education, and health care.

One colleague of mine from Germany had a friend from Switzerland come to
visit him (in Silicon Valley). He took him to the train station so he
could go up to San Francisco. The friend came back that night and said
he loved the experience of the 19th century trains.

I doubt one COUNTY is as large as three COUNTRIES.

I live in San Bernardino County, CA. Second-largest county (by
geographical area) in the US, largest in the lower 48.

Next door to SBD County is Los Angeles County, home to the second-
largest US city (by population).

I doubt that either SBD County or Los Angeles County is larger than
three European countries put together.

San Bernadino County has an of 20,105 square miles.

Monaco has an area of 0.7 square miles

San Marino has an area of 24 square miles

Liechtenstein's area is 62 square miles

That's 3, still 20,018 left over....

Let's subtract Andorra's 180 square miles and Switzerland's 940 square
miles and we still have 18,898 square miles left over, give up yet?

Try San Marino, Liechtenstein, and Monaco -- I suspect SBD or LA county
might exceed those three in total land mass :-) (but no, I haven't tried
googling for the relevant facts; I'll leave that to those interested).

I see what you did there
3,794,101 is not as large as 3,930,000 though.
And Europe is more than just the EU

You have big counties out there. We fit 92 counties into 35,826 sq miles

San Bernardino County is abnormally large, and as much of it consists of
the 99%-empty Mojave National Preserve, a ginormous portion of it is
unpopulated.

Los Angeles County is much smaller, as are most other California
counties.

Pretty off-topic for even this group, but to point you in a direction:

If Windows, you probably have a built-in movie-making program. In XP it
used to be called Windows Movie Maker. Can't recall the name of the similar
proggy for Win7. Import your clip, delete the existing audio; layer on your
new audio.

Macs have a built-in proggy to do this.

(Many, many other movie proggies can do the same thing. Don't know for
sure -- don't have it -- but I thought Adobe cs4 was more for stills)

Seek detailed help in the appropriate location; not here,

In 7, it's called Windows Live Movie Maker.
