Default Thank you, Verizon!

I want to thank Verizon for my next few months Alltel payments. I was in a
little country church fixing their church organ, today, with 5 deacons and
the pastor looking on.

The pastor tried to call out on Verizon first from inside the sanctuary,
then from outside in the parking lot. One bar does NOT a CDMA
communication make. He came back in shaking his head. He and the deacons
all were complaining about the poor Verizon signal in their area.

I simply handed him my Alltel Z6m SUPERphone after sliding it open, inside
the church. His call, of course, was crystal clear and never faltered.
When he was done, I asked him and the others assembled if they had
contracts with Verizon. One did but it was up in 8 months. He'll churn
later..(c;

Always keen to get ahead, I fished my stack of Alltel business cards out of
my pocket, already filled in with my information in the handy spaces on the
back so I can get credits for today's "sales" as headhunter. This will
help pay for food as prices continue to skyrocket for basic flour, milk and
bread.

Thank you, Verizon......and THANK YOU, ALLTEL!.

Oh, streamed KSEY's Texas Swing and classic country all the way down and
all the way back. The only time it dropped was when I switched from the
Columbia, SC, system to the Charleston system. It assigned me a new IP and
KSEY lost track of me. Great travelin' music off Shoutcast:
http://www.radioksey.com
Seymour, Texas....one of the few real radio stations left untouched by huge
media corporations! Live DJs, 24/7!

I have no idea how Navicore found Long Branch Missionary Baptist Church,
922 Hopewell Rd, Gifford, SC. Lead me right to the door and the smartassed
British voice thanked me for using my Sellphone when I got there....(c;

Beautiful day in rural South Carolina. Sunny, no clouds at all, mid 70's,
gorgeous! Fixed 2 instruments in 2 churches....I wish every day were this
good...(c;

Can you hear me now? This is another example that proves that Verizon is not
the 'end-all" best cell phone service provider. Your results will vary given
your location and so will the service provider that provides the best
performance for you needs. Kudos to Alltel.

They'll have to be on Alltel a while before I get some credits. I've sold
many on Alltel. You can really make sellphone bills cheap that way...(c;

Glad you enjoyed it. Great day, most profitable, too!

Shouldn't this be in the Alltel newsgroup, not the Verizon one?

YMMV depending on *ANY* carrier. Does Alltel pay you for your ADS on
Usenet?

Give us a break and go post on your own newsgroup

Just so I can understand. When anyone else has/uses a cellphone it is a
"sellphone" or a "toyphone" but when you have/use one it isn't and is
actually a "superphone"?

Depends on where you are in "the country". Around here (central Indiana),
if you want a phone that consistently works just about everywhere, you
carry Verizon. Otherwise you either put up with a phone that doesn't work
a great deal of the time, or you never travel more than a few miles from
the interstate or major metro areas.

Everyone's area is different, and I'm happy the people found something that
works for them...although I always get a chuckle out of watching ministers
cuss :-)

Where I live, Alltell rents its towers from Verizon. It would be pretty
stupid to switch.

Would it? Verizon insists on selling someone who rarely leaves town a
nationwide plan with few included minutes for a high price. Alltel, on the
other hand, still will sell this person a regional plan that covers a
couple of states with lots of minutes for $39, cheaper than every Verizon
plan available.....with lots more included minutes.

Who cares what towers it's on. The double the minutes for half the price
is a much better deal, right? Or does company loyalty make it better?

$39 - 700 minutes - unlimited N/W - unlimited M2M on Alltel - free LD -
Voicemail and all the usual toys. For infrequent travel, $10 buys you 100
minutes of NATIONWIDE service, just like the big boys use...$10, not
70c/min. UNLIMITED EVDO data service is $25/mo with no funny business.
Smartphone data service is $10/mo with no funny business. The phones come
with ALL THE FEATURES, nothing all hobbled up by Verizon bureaucrats.

What's a better deal....even on the "same towers"?

Anyone would be a fool if they had that choice.....

Nah, you are just backpedaling. Whenever anyone else mentions what they
have or use you pronounce them as "sellphones" or "toyphones" and
whenever you use something it is the discovery of the year and the
greatest thing that ever happened like this silly thread where you made
the amazing discovery that one carrier didn't have signal in a building.

No, stupid, I never said I enjoyed paying any company for anything.

You need to get out more. Checkout on furlough and go to the mall and pick
up some girls. They'll make you fell better than constantly cursing
everyone you meet here.
