V Cast caused problems with Internet Explorer and Windows Updates

Upon installing V Cast and rebooting, I noticed problems and error
messages with Internet Explorer. I couldn't reply in Yahoo email, I
couldn't use search functions on web sites, and every time I went to
Windows Update, I got a page saying, "Thank you for your interest in
obtaining files from our site" or something like that and telling me
to go to the control panel or help to get updates. The reason is the
install corrupted the User Agent registry key and here is the fix from
Windows - it actually worked: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817144.
