Default v325i cradle-type battery charger

Just got this new v325i from Verizon. To my surprise, neither Verizon or
Motorola seems to be selling a desktop cradle for charging this battery.
This makes having a spare battery kind of pointless. I frequently talk for
2-4 hours per day, and having a charged spare battery is a real plus.

I'm thinking there might be another Motorola cradle around that will charge
this battery. I don't care if it fits the phone or not, just the battery.
Anybody know of one? They currently sell 2 different cradles, will this
battery slip into one of them?

The phone came with the "slim" battery, SNN5267A, 880 mAh. I see Motorola
lists several similar battery numbers as being compatible with this phone.
It has the 4 contacts at the top of the battery, near the left side.
(looking at the battery from the back)

Any assist would hugely appreciated.

Dan,

How about a cheap way out? Find out what cheap old Motophones use the same
battery as your phone, bet there are a bunch. Buy one cheap on eBay. Leave
the cheapo phone plugged in at home and use it as a charger. Swap batteries
when needed. Presto.

HTH,
Dean

I've found that a number of phones use the same battery, or similar. I'm
sure there's a Motorola based charging block that will work, I just have to
track it down. It's possible that the "Q" uses the same batts. Charging
blocks run around $5 most of the time.

I just received this charging block with 2 slim batteries from the Hong Kong
seller. $20 shipped for the block and 2 batts is hard to argue with. The
batteries look like Motorola batts with a sticker over the Motorola name.
Same part numbers.

Works great.
